A Returneeship is a unique programme designed to support anyone 50+ who is unemployed and a distance from the job market. The programme supports individuals in taking positive steps towards gaining employment.

What makes this programme so successful is that learners gain confidence and self respect from interacting with real employers.

What is a Returneeship?

Returneeships are an exciting two week pre-employment training programme. Designed to focus on the employability skills of the unemployed.

Following the completion of the classroom learning, our Aftercare Programme is designed to provide 1-2-1 support to our customers, with their next steps in the form of job alerts for their desired sector, weekly engagement calls and application support.

Learners in the classroom will study a range of sector based skills and competencies required for the workplace to include

Employability Skills

CV’s, Cover Letters, Application Forms and Interview Technique.

Digital Skills

Publishing Flyers, Creating Presentation and using E-mail Software.

Customer Service

Health and Safety, Customer Complaints, Employment Rights and Responsibilities, Principles of Customer Service, Personal Performance and Development, Working with Others and Communication.

Are you suitable for a Returneeship?

The concept of the Returneeship is to target the increasing number of individuals aged 50+ who find themselves out of work and in long term unemployment and support them returning to work.

You could be suitable for a Returneeship if you…

1. Have been unemployed for any amount of time and are motivated to work in either full-time or part-time employment.

2. Are willing to develop new skills and rebuild on old skills to ensure you are ready to work

3. Are not taking part in any other employment, training or enterprise programme or scheme funded by the Secretaries of State either full or part time

What is a Returneeship?

A Returneeship is a unique programme designed to support unemployed individuals, who are a distance from the job market, make a positive step towards gaining employment.

What are the scheduled hours for the classroom element?

The classroom element will last for 10 consecutive week days and will start at 9:00AM and finish at 4:30PM.

Am I eligible?

If you are currenly unemployed, ideally 40 years of age and over and living in England you may be eligible for a Returneeship. Even if you have completed one or more of the qualifications listed, you may still be eligible to complete the Returneeship. Contact us for a more detailed assessment of your eligibility.

What certificates will I get?

You will receive a certificate of attendance as well as a separate BIIAB certificates for each qualification you successfully complete.

What is the content of a Returneeship?

After two days working on a exciting team project, you will work towards completing the following qualifications:

  • Certficate in Customer Service
  • Certficate in IT User Skills
  • Certficate in Foundation Learning and Employability Skills

How long will it take to complete my Returneeship?

2 weeks – A starting activity that lasts either 1 or 2 days, course size dependent, followed by 10 days in the classroom.

What happens when I complete my Returneeship?

Upon completion of your Returneeship, Release Potential will continue to stay in touch with our Aftercare Programme, providing personal support in the form of job alerts for your desired sector, weekly engagement calls and application support. The certificates for the qualifications you achieved during the Returneeship will be sent via post soon after, once all final processing has been completed.
